Raigad, April 3 -- In a tragic road accident on the Mumbai-Goa Highway near Nagothane's Sukli Ghat early Friday morning, two passengers were killed on the spot while 38 others sustained injuries.

Among the injured, the condition of around 10 passengers is reported to be critical. Shockingly, survivors have alleged that the accident was caused not by a technical fault but by the driver's reckless behaviour.

The private luxury bus was travelling from Mumbai to Goa when the accident occurred in the early hours. While negotiating a sharp turn in the Sukli Ghat section, the driver reportedly lost control due to overspeeding, causing the bus to overturn. The incident triggered panic and chaos among passengers trapped inside the vehicle.
