Baghpat, Dec. 16 -- Two people, including a head constable posted at Singhavali Aheer police station in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh, were killed in a road accident, while three others were seriously injured.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for post-mortem and the injured have been referred to a hospital in Meerut for treatment, police said today.
According to official police sources, Head Constable Rahul Kumar, posted at the Daula police outpost under Singhavali Aheer police station, along with Constable Kaushal Sharma, was returning late Monday night after conducting a raid in Meerut district. They were accompanied by Ajharuddin, Guddu and Tayyab, residents of Basod village.
