Deoria (UP), Feb. 20 -- Two persons were killed and 12 others were injured when a vehicle carrying devotees from the Maha Kumbh bath overturned in the Ekouna area of Deoria district here in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that that the incident took place when some devotees from the Siwan district of Bihar were returning after taking the Maha Kumbh bath in Prayagraj in a pickup vehicle. The vehicle went out of control and fell into a ditch near village Nagwa in the Ekouna area, they said.
Police sources said that Rohit and Golden, both residents of Siwan district, died in this accident. "The injured are being treated at the medical college," they said. UNI XC AB.SSP
