Chennai, March 15 -- In a tragic incident, two kids were killed and seven others were injured in a cylinder blast at their house, which collapsed under the impact, at suburban Navalur on Sunday.
Police said the deceased were idetnified as Krishika (4) and her 18-month-old infant brother Dheeran.
A leak from the cooking gas cylinder was said to be the reason behind the blast, which triggered a fire and engulfed the entire house, trapping the entire family.
The impact of the blast was such that it led to a wall collapse leading to the fire spreading to neighbouring houses. Subsquently the ill-fated house was completely razed to the ground in the blast.
