Srinagar, Nov. 25 -- Two institutes in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla district are under the police scanner for alleged unlawful activities and financial and tax evasion.

Police said they initiated investigation on receipt of information concerning alleged unlawful activities of a local association identified as Idarah Fallah-u-Darain. The institute has been working on social reconstruction in the Baramulla town since 1999.

Police said a case with has been registered against Fallah-u-Darain at Police Station Baramulla.

"In the course of investigation, multiple coordinated raids were conducted at various premises and assets linked to the association. Several individuals associated with the organization were also questioned," Police said, a...
