Solan, Dec. 29 -- Panic gripped Rajpura area of Baddi-Nalagarh industrial belt today when a fire ignited in a roadside junk pile suddenly erupted with a loud explosion, injuring two persons in this district.
Mohar Singh and Ashish Kumar, an uncle and nephew, were caught in the unexpected incident while returning home after purchasing medicine. The explosion caused hot liquid that fell on them, severely scalding them. There was a commotion at the scene, and people rushed to help.
Thanks to the promptness of local residents, both injured were immediately rushed to Nalagarh Hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. Doctors say both are stable, although they will remain under medical observation for some time.
