Imphal, May 24 -- Two persons, including a woman, were apprehended with drugs in two separate incidents in Manipur.
Police said on Saturday that a woman, identified as Chigenvung of Kanan Veng, Churachandpur, was nabbed with 25 soap cases containing suspected Brown Sugar weighing 289 grams.
A sum of Rs. 8 lakh was also recovered from her.
In another incident, security forces arrested one Doukholet Hanghal of Mongkot Khopi village under Churachandpur-PS, Churachandpur District from his residence and seized 870 grams Brown Sugar worth approximately Rs 1.74 crore.
Another 20 soap cases containing suspected No. 4 Heroin weighing 260 grams worth approximately Rs 52 lakh were also recovered.
