Srinagar, Aug. 6 -- The Economic Offences Wing of Crime Branch Kashmir today arrested two individuals for allegedly duping a local resident of a substantial amount of money by luring him into fraudulent investment schemes.
The EoW identified the accused as Majid Nazir Najar, a resident of Batamaloo Srinagar, and Mubarak Ahmad Rather of Gulposh Colony Srinagar.
The duo has been arrested in connection with FIR registered under sections 420 (cheating), 467 (forgery of valuable security), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station EOW (Crime Branch Kashmir).
