Patna, July 7 -- Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, without taking the name of any leader, today alleged that "two Gujaratis were trying to snatch away the voting rights of 8 crore Biharis".

Taking to his X account, Yadav alleged that both these Gujaratis nurture deep hatred for Bihar, the Constitution, and democracy.

Appealing to the people to remain cautious and alert, he said that the people should also come forward to save democracy and the Constitution.

The Election Commission of India (EC) was conducting a voter list special revision (SIR) for the upcoming assembly elections which the Grand Alliance ( GA) was opposing raising various issues.

The GA had given a chhakka jam call on July 9 in Bihar.
