Bhubaneswar, July 10 -- The Odisha Crime Branch has arrested two fraudsters in connection with a massive investment fraud involving more than Rs.9 crore.
According to official sources, one of the accused, Amrit Pal from Punjab, was arrested for his involvement in defrauding a a citizen of Rs.7.5 crore.
He was apprehended in Punjab, produced before the Sangrur Court, and brought to Odisha on transit remand and later forwarded to the court of the SDJM, Jeypore, under various provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
