Nahan, Aug. 18 -- Due to incessant rains in Sirmaur district, flood water has inundated two factory units in Sainwala panchayat, causing estimated losses of up to around Rs 1 cr in both the units.

Panchayat pradhan Sandipak confirmed the huge loss caused by the flood water after heavy rains in the areas.

Subdivisional Magistrate Nahan Rajiv Sankhyan said that 10 houses in Agdiwala village have been damaged and officials of the administration have been sent to the spot to find out the loss caused by the flashflood. Temporary shelters are being built for the affected. The flood water also swept away drums filled with turpentine oil.
