Gadchiroli (Maharashtra) , Nov. 20 -- Two elderly women were killed in separate tiger attacks in the Deulgaon Butti forest area of Aramori taluka, officials said on Thursday.
The victims were identified as Muktabai Nevare (70) and Anusaya Jinder Wagh (70).
According to local authorities, Nevare had gone to a nearby forest on Wednesday morning to collect fodder when she was attacked by a tiger.
In a separate incident, Wagh missing since November 12 was found dead on Wednesday night after villagers reported a foul smell near Kandeshwar hill along the Gadchiroli-Aramori national highway.
Search teams discovered the decomposed body of Wagh and, nearby, the body of Nevare. Local police conducted a spot inspection at night.
