Nagpur, July 31 -- : Nagpur Police have arrested two Education Officers named Siddheshwar Kaluse and Rohini Kumbhar for their alleged involvement in a massive financial fraud, a senior police official told UNI.

The scam involved the misuse of the government's online teacher salary system, where fake School IDs were created to withdraw salaries in the names of non-existent teachers.

According to the police official as of now total of 12 individuals have been booked, including one Deputy Director of Education, three Education Officers, one clerk, two school principals, and two school Directors.

The accused allegedly created 154 fake teacher entries and siphoned off government funds by withdrawing salaries in their names.
