Imphal, Sept. 7 -- In a series of coordinated operations, Manipur Police and Security Forces arrested multiple individuals involved in cybercrime and unlawful activities.
A team from the Cyber Crime Police Station, Manipur, apprehended two cybercriminals from Thoubal district yesterday for operating mule bank accounts.
The arrested individuals lured others into opening bank accounts and used them for transferring and layering cyber-fraud money in collusion with other cyber-criminals. Police recovered three mobile phones and other incriminating items from their possession. Investigations are ongoing to trace other members of the racket.
