Wardha, Sept. 27 -- Two policemen were injured when miscreants attacked them with swords during a raid on a gambling den in Wardha district, according to police officials.
The incident occurred in Sawangi police station limits in Wardha after a team raided the den on the basis of a tip-off.
When police tried to take action, the accused and their family members resisted and attacked the team with swords, leaving two policemen injured.
Following the attack, Superintendent of Police Anurag Jain rushed to the spot with additional forces.
At least 23 people were arrested in connection with the case.
