Bathinda, Aug. 24 -- In separate incidents, two persons allegedly committed suicide here on Friday, the police said on Saturday.
According to police, Kulvir Singh a farmer, hailing from Natt of sub-division Talwandi Sabo was under a massive debt of Rs 18 lakhs, which forced him to take the extreme step by swallowing poison.
In an another incident, a drug addict, Inder Kumar native of Uttar Pradesh jumped in front of a running train at railway lines of Delhi railway crossings, here. Insufficient money and unavailability of drugs became the prime reason of his suicide.
The police have registered the case and handed over the body to the family members after postmortem.
