Badaun (UP), April 3 -- Two children were charred to death when a gas cylinder exploded after fire in a hut in Kadar Chowk area of Badaun district in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that Jaipal Singh, a resident of Jinsi Nagla village, had put up a hut outside the village. "On Thursday afternoon the hut caught fire after which the gas cylinder kept inside it exploded," they said.
Police sources said that Sumit (5) and his cousin Deepak (6), residents of Champatpur Devchara village of Bareilly, playing outside the hut, were charred to death in the incident. "The fire tenders which reached after getting information from the villagers controlled the fire," they said.
