Imphal, April 7 -- Two persons were killed and eight others seriously injured when security personnel fired at a mob marching towards a CRPF camp hours after two children were killed by suspected Kuki militants on Tuesday in Manipur's Bishnupur district.
The mob went on a rampage and to control the situation the CRPF personnel fired upon the protestors.
Two died on the spot, while eight others sustained serious injuries.
Earlier, two children were killed and their mother seriously injured when suspected Kuki militants fired rockets and projectiles in Bishnupur district on Monday night. Police said the rockets landed at Tronglaobi Awang Leikai, Moirang, destroying a house and killing the siblings who were inside the house.
