Kolkata, Dec. 18 -- A few days after a Bangladeshi naval vessel allegedly attacked and sank an Indian fishing trawler, the Indian Coast Guard, in a fresh case of suspected intrusion into Indian territorial waters, seized two Bangladeshi fishing trawlers and detained 35 fishermen on board.
The trawlers, along with the fishermen, were brought to Fraserganj in South 24 Parganas, where the fishermen were formally arrested by the police of Fraserganj Coastal Police Station yesterday night. They are scheduled to be produced before the Kakdwip Sub-Divisional Court on Thursday.
