Imphal, Sept. 20 -- Two personnel of 33 Assam Rifles were killed and four other personnel injured when unknown armed persons laid an ambush at Nambol, Bishnupur district today.
Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla strongly condemned the attack on security forces this evening, in which two brave jawans of the Assam Rifles made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
Former Chief Minister N Biren Singh rushed to RIMS to enquire about the conditions of the injured personnel. He said he was shocked to hear about the ambush on the brave 33 Assam Rifles personnel at Nambol Sabal Leikai.
