Santiniketan, Oct. 15 -- Two ASI (Assistant Sub-Inspectors) of Mohammad Bazar Police Station in Birbhum district have been placed under suspension and a departmental inquiry was initiated following allegations that the two policemen were taking money from truck owner, official sources said today.
The punitive action on the two junior police officials was taken after a truck owners' association released a video of policemen "taking money" from the truck drivers at Md Bazar, district Superintendent of police Amadeep said.
