Nagpur, Dec. 16 -- The Anti-Narcotics Squad of Nagpur Police today arrested two people and seized two kilograms of ganja from an area adjacent to the Vidhan Bhavan, just days after the conclusion of the winter session of the Maharashtra Legislature, police said.
The action was carried out in the Mariam slum, located next to the Vidhan Bhavan premises.
According to officials, information was received that ganja was being sold at the retail level near Vidhan Bhavan. Acting on the tip-off, the Anti-Narcotics Squad conducted a raid around noon with the help of a sniffer dog.
During the search, police recovered two kilograms of ganja concealed in a cupboard inside a house in the slum.
