Chandigarh, Oct. 2 -- The Amritsar Police have arrested two young men for allegedly supplying drugs while disguised as langurs during the ongoing Navratri festival.

The suspects were arrested in a significant crackdown by the Gate Hakima police station team. Police seized approximately one kilogram of heroin from their possession.

The arrested men were identified as Sukhdev Singh alias Mintu and Sahil, both residents of Amritsar.

According to police officials, the duo exploited the religious ambiance of Navratri by using the traditional disguise to distribute narcotics without arousing suspicion.
