Chandigarh, Aug. 31 -- Punjab Police has dismantled a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI)-backed terror module, arresting two operatives and thwarting potential attacks on security establishments, the state's top cop said today.
Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said here the operation was carried out by Punjab Police's Counter Intelligence (CI) units in Pathankot and Ludhiana, along with the State Special Operations Cell (SSOC) Amritsar.
The arrested individuals, identified as Sarwan Kumar of Malhian village and Balwinder Singh of Jakkriya village, both in Gurdaspur, were found in possession of one Arges hand grenade, a .30 bore star mark pistol, and three live cartridges during the operation.
