Samastipur, Nov. 8 -- In a drastic action within hours of recovery of VVPAT slips from roadside in Sarairanjan assembly seat of Samastipur, two Assistant Returning Officers (AROs) were suspended on Saturday with immediate effect, on directive from Election Commission.
Soon after incident of recovery of VVPAT slips from roadside in Sarairanjan assembly seat, Election Commission had directed the District Magistrate Roshan Kushwaha to visit the spot and probe into the matter.
Commision had also issued instruction to place under suspension the ARO concerned with immediate effect.
