Chennai, Sept. 17 -- Two workers were charred to death and four othersinjured in blast at a private cracker manufacturing unit at Gangarseval villagein Vembakottai taluk near Sattur in Virudhungar district of Tamil Nadu today.
Police said one of the deceased was identified as Gowri (50), an inmate ofthe Sri Lankan Tamil Rehabilitation Camp at Thulakkankurichi.
She was killed on the spot, while another worker Kalimuthu (45), who suffered100 per cent succumbed at Sivakasi Government hospital where the four injuredwere admitted for treatment.
A fire broke due to friction while handling chemicals for making crackers, resultingin the explosion at Divya Pyrotechnics, coming under Alangulam police station limitsin the district.
