Aizawl, Aug. 29 -- In a major blow to cross-border drug syndicates, the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Aizawl unit, have seized narcotics worth over Rs 219 crore in two back-to-back operations in Mizoram within a span of just over a week.
The latest operation, conducted yesterday at Serchhip town in central Mizoram's Serchhip district, led to the recovery of nearly 9.6 lakh methamphetamine tablets, commonly known as Yaba, valued at more than Rs 144 crore.
