Jalgaon, Dec. 5 -- A tragic electrocution incident claimed the lives of a father and his 12-year-old daughter in the Aksanagar locality near Master Colony today morning.
The deceased were identified as Maulana Sabir Khan Nawaz Khan, 36, and his daughter, Alia Sabir Khan. The accident has cast a pall of grief over the neighbourhood.
According to preliminary information, the mishap occurred when Maulana Sabir Khan's elder niece, 12-year-old Maria Fatemabi, went to the terrace to dry clothes and accidentally came into contact with a high-voltage electric wire passing close to the house. Seeing her cousin suffering an electric shock, Alia rushed to help but was also electrocuted.
