Chennai, Jan. 8 -- Actor-turned-neta and Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) Founder Vijay'slast film 'Jananayagan" scheduled for release on January nine, has suffered a setback over theCensorship clearance with the Madras High Court set to pronounce its verdict on the releasedate.

As the film entered the Madras High Court, the filmmakers has deferred its release awaitingthe court orders as the Central Board of Film Certification, the Censor Board, was yet giveits nod for the release.

An announcement from the film production house said the release of the much-awaited filmas part of the Pongal festival in Tamil Nadu and acrossthe country and in several countriesin the world has been deferred, pending the court verdict.
