Hyderabad, Dec. 17 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Thummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday said that the Turmeric Value Chain Summit should pave the way for the welfare of turmeric farmers and facilitate brainstorming on farmer-centric schemes, while ensuring remunerative prices for the crop.
Addressing the Turmeric Value Chain Summit - 2025, jointly organised by CII Telangana and the National Turmeric Board here, the Minister said collective efforts are needed to take Indian turmeric to a level where it can effectively compete in global markets.
He emphasised that agricultural products play a crucial role in strengthening the country's economy.
