Ankara, March 7 -- Turkiye may consider contributing troops to a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine if necessary, the semi-official Anadolu Agency reported Thursday.

"We are following the multidimensional diplomatic initiatives to end the war in close coordination with the relevant institutions of our state," Anadolu quoted anonymous Defense Ministry sources as saying.

"The issue of contributing to a mission, which has not yet been conceptualized, will be evaluated with all relevant parties if deemed necessary for regional stability and peace," the sources said.

Ankara will continue to support constructive initiatives for peace and Ukraine's reconstruction, according to the sources.
