Istanbul, July 13 -- Turkish police detained nine suspected Islamic State (IS) members during an operation in Istanbul, Turkiye's largest city, on Sunday, local media reported.

Police teams conducted raids on multiple locations across Istanbul to apprehend suspects accused of involvement in IS activities linked to conflict zones abroad, according to the Demiroren News Agency. The suspects were also found to be managing the group's social media accounts.
