Istanbul, Aug. 5 -- One of the three largest mobile operators in Turkey, Turkcell, announced the completion of a deal to sell its subsidiaries and assets in Ukraine.

Turkcell has sold its Ukrainian assets to French billionaire Xavier Niel's NJJ Holding for over USD 500 million

The company's plans to complete the deal were reported at the end of 2023.

Turkcell sold all shares in Lifecell, Global Bilgi and Ukrtower, as well as all debts and rights, to DVL Telecom for USD 538.7 million, the company said.

It is noted that Turkcell has thus completely stopped business projects in Ukraine. Turkcell acquired the Lifecell operator in 2015.
