Los Angeles, July 31 -- A Delta flight on Wednesday made an emergency landing at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport in the U.S. state of Minnesota after 25 passengers were injured by "significant turbulence while en route," said the airline.

The Delta flight DL56, en route from U.S. Salt Lake City to the Netherlands' Amsterdam, diverted to Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and landed safely around 7:45 p.m. local time (0045 GMT).



Medical personnel met the flight upon arrival to evaluate passengers and crew, said the airline in a statement.
