Hyderabad, Sept. 27 -- Telangana Agriculture, Marketing, Cooperation, and Handlooms & Textiles Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Saturday hailed late Konda Laxman Bapuji as a great fighter and statesman who dedicated his life to the people and played a key role in the achievement of Telangana statehood.
Participating as the chief guest at the 110th birth anniversary celebrations of Bapuji held at Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad, the Minister recalled his contributions to the Telangana armed struggle and the statehood movement.
"Konda Laxman Bapuji gave up his ministerial post for the cause of Telangana. He was a true Gandhian who worked for the upliftment of oppressed classes and dedicated his life to public service," he said.
