Srinagar, March 27 -- Kashmir's iconic Tulip Garden, the biggest in Asia, which was thrown open to public, witnessed unprecedented footfall of 17,259 visitors on the first day, setting a new benchmark in its history.
On Wednesday Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the garden, nestled in the foothills of the Zabarwan range overlooking Dal Lake. Wearing a traditional Pheran, Omar explored the garden, capturing photos and engaging with visitors, even pausing for selfies.
The garden showcases over 1.70 million tulips across 74 varieties, with many already in full bloom.
