Agartala, Dec. 17 -- To promote the state's tea industry, the Tripura Tea Development Corporation (TTDC), in partnership with the Tea Board of India, organised a "Run for Tea" in the city on Wednesday, featuring prominent sports personalities.
Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Tinku Roy, Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumder, and Tripura Tea Development Corporation Chairman Samiranjan Ghosh flagged off the event.
The occasion included competitions for both men and women, drawing participation from over a hundred runners. Awards were given to the top three finishers in each category at the end of the race.
