Tirupati, July 23 -- The TTD Chairman BR Naidu today advised doctors to take steps to reduce the waiting time for surgeries at the Balaji Institute of Surgery, Research, and Rehabilitation for the Disabled (BIRRD) hospital run by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD). Naidu, who reviewed the BIRRD Trust activities along with TTD EO J. Syamala Rao here, urged the Hospital authorities to bring back its former glory.

He said that farmers and the poor in rural areas should be given top priority for medical services at BIRRD.
