Ranchi, Dec. 29 -- A violent conflict within the banned extremist outfit Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) claimed two lives and left two others critically injured in Jharkhand's Chatra district, police said on Monday.

The incident occurred Sunday night in Gendra village under the Kunda police station area, where former TSPC top commander Devendra Ganjhu and his associate Churaman Ganjhu were shot dead on the spot during a firing incident triggered by an internal dispute.

Two others, Shyam Bhogta and his brother-in-law Gopal Bhogta, sustained serious gunshot injuries.

Gopal has been admitted to Medinirai Medical College and Hospital (MMCH) for treatment, while Shyam is also reported to be in critical condition.
