New Delhi, Aug. 5 -- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), a semiconductor giant, found that some of its ex-employees illegally accessed the trade secrets related to the wafer manufacturing technology.
TSMC wafer manufacturing technology refers to the advanced set of processes used by TSMC to create silicon wafers, which are used as the foundation for integrated chips.
Reports pointed out that several former TSMC employees tried to gain proprietary information on the 2-nanometer chip development and production while they were employed with the company.
