New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- The Telecommunications Standards Development Society, India (TSDCI) hosted a first-time meeting on 6G standardization under 3GPP Radio Access Network (RAN) in Bengaluru, which will continue through August 29.

A '3GPP Radio Access Network (RAN)' is the part of a mobile network responsible for radio connectivity between a user device (like a phone) and the core network.

Over 1,500 delegates from more than 50 countries are participating in the four-day programme which started on August 25. Participants represent different institutions, including 3GPP individual members, major telecom companies, research institutions, and technical experts.
