Washington/Tehran, April 10 -- US President Donald Trump on Thursday evening warned Iran, that it "better not" charge "fees" to vessels attempting to pass through the Strait of Hormuz, even as traffic along the vital waterway remains on a record low position since the ceasefire.
"There are reports that Iran is charging fees to tankers going through the Hormuz Strait - They better not be and, if they are, they better stop now!" Trump wrote in a Truth Social post.
His comments come following Trump's earlier briefing with reporters on Monday, where he had floated the idea of the US being involved in charging tolls for ships going through the strait.
