New Delhi/Washinton/Berlin, March 17 -- US President Donald Trump on Monday criticised allies for what he described as a lack of "enthusiasm" toward a coalition he has proposed to secure the Strait of Hormuz, through which a fifth of the world's energy resources are shipped.
Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office late Monday, Trump said the conflict with Iran could end soon, though he cautioned that a resolution this week was unlikely. He defended the military campaign as necessary to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
