New York, Sept. 24 -- Signalling a shift in stance on Ukraine, US president Donald Trump has suggested that Ukraine can win back all of its territory in its war against Russia.
The US president's comments, posted on social media on Tuesday, come after he spent an hour meeting Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the UN General Assembly, reports BBC.
"Ukraine... is in a position to fight with financial support from Europe and Nato, and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form" - this is a significant change from statements made by Trump throughout the year that Ukraine, when he suggested the country didn't "have the cards" during his first meeting with Zelensky at the White House in February.
