Washington, March 18 -- US President Donald Trump has claimed that the war with Iran will not last "much longer", but offered no clear timeline, exposing lingering uncertainties regarding Washington's endgame, especially in light of Tehran's extremely stiff resistance.

Speaking at the White House, Trump described the conflict as a brief "excursion", suggesting it could end within "a couple of weeks", though it was unclear whether he was referring to time already elapsed or what lies ahead. He added that the US was "not ready to leave yet" but would withdraw in the "very near future".

Pressed on post-war plans, Trump provided only broad outlines, saying Washington would seek to ensure Iran is "run well" after the conflict.

Jokingly remark...
