Washington, April 25 -- US President Donald Trump said in an interview with Time that Chinese President Xi Jinping had reached out to him to discuss trade, although he did not specify the timing of the call.
"He's called. And I don't think that's a sign of weakness on his behalf," Trump said in the interview marking his first 100 days in office.
Trump noted that, based on his conversation with Xi, he believes there is a tariff level that Beijing is willing to accept. However, he emphasized that he would not permit China to make a trillion dollars in trade with the United States, not even $750 billion.
