Moscow, Aug. 7 -- Giving a renewed diplomatic push, US President Donald Trump has instructed his team to move swiftly in organizing meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, CNN reported, citing senior White House officials.
According to The New York Times, Trump is aiming to meet Putin in person as early as next week, followed by a possible trilateral summit involving both Putin and Zelenskyy. The effort comes amid renewed attempts to de-escalate the Russia-Ukraine conflict and explore avenues for strategic dialogue.
