Washington/ New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- As part of a broader crackdown on legal immigration, the Trump administration has proposed a new rule that would limit the duration of stay for foreign students, cultural exchange visitors, and members of the foreign media.

The regulation, announced today, aims to tighten oversight, prevent visa abuse, and enhance national security.
