Trump administration asked Mexico to impose tariffs on goods from China - Reports

Wahington, Feb. 23 -- The administration of US President Donald Trump asked Mexican officials to impose tariffs on goods from China in order to avoid the introduction of US tariffs on goods from Mexico, Bloomberg reported, citing unnamed sources.

Delegations from the US and Mexico met on Thursday in Washington, sources told the agency. US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick was among the US officials in the delegation who spoke about Mexico's tariffs on China. The Mexican delegation was represented by the country's economy minister, Marcelo Ebrard.
