Belagavi, Oct. 10 -- Three people, including a two year old boy died on the spot and three other sustained injuries after a truck ran over them during Durgamatha immersion procession at Ganeshwadi road (Karnataka-Maharashtra border) under Kagwad police station limits in Belagavi district on Wednesday night.
Police identified the deceased as Hansen Gulappanavar (2), Sachin Kargouda Patil (36) and Sanjay Raosab Patil (41).
Inured were immediately admitted to nearby Miraj Hospital.
"Further investigation is going on," police said.
